Lawyer Magnus Melin receives von Matern's premium award for 2025

The Faculty of Law recently decided that this year's von Matern Prize will go to lawyer Magnus Melin. The prize will be awarded in connection with a lecture on February 11, 2026.

Motivation:

Through his writing, Magnus Melin has contributed to the development of real estate brokerage law and related topics in particular. He is responsible for the legal commentary on the Real Estate Brokerage Act in Norstedts' yellow series. He has also written articles and case law commentaries focusing on real estate agency issues and real estate law. Magnus Melin's writing is of the kind that bridges the gap between practical legal issues and academic writing in a well-defined area.


More about the von Materns Prize

Every year, the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University awards the von Matern Prize to a person who has promoted legal writing in Sweden. The von Matern Prize was established in a will in 1930 by Tyra von Matern, in memory of Vice District Judge Knut von Matern.
