Anne Mölsä: Author relations and professionalism in the Finnish publishers' professional culture

Abstract:

Anne Mölsä presents her ongoing doctoral research on the professional culture of Finnish publishers of literary fiction. She will reflect on the connections between author relations and professionalism in publishers’ meaning-making and action. The research data consists of interviews with editorial staff as well as work situation observations in the Finnish publishing houses.

Mölsä is a doctoral researcher in media studies at Tampere university. She has a background as a writer and writing instructor.

The seminar will be held in English.
