Welcome to Gabriel Rajkowski´s presentation of his project within the course "Selected topics in mathematics, 5 hp" with the title "A brief overview of spectra and stable homotopy theory".
Abstract: We will briefly talk about spectra and different models for them (prespectra, symmetric spectra, orthogonal spectra). We will construct the smash product of these and discuss the category of spectra and its homotopy category. The paper we mostly follow is “Model categories and diagram spectra” by Mandell, May, Schwede, and Shipley.
