Abstract: This talk will explore some new results in relation to Kostant's problem for simple highest weight modules in the principal block associated to the special linear Lie algebra. We will first describe what Kostant's problem is and give a reformulation which connects it to the Hecke algebra. We will summarise some conjectures and known results in type A, and then conclude by presenting our recent results alongside some discussion and remarks. This work was done in collaboration with Volodymyr Mazorchuk.
