Algebra seminar: Computational attempts at Kåhrström's combinatorial condition

Abstract: Kåhrström's conjecture bears relevance for Kostant's problem for Lie algebras and is in part expressed in Hecke algebras. We dedicate the first half to the necessary background for formulating the combinatorial part of this conjecture and some algorithms. The second half will instead treat efforts at computationally exploring solutions to Kåhrström's combinatorial condition with programming in C. This is a presentation of a Bachelor's thesis.
