Abstract: The Ladyzhenskaya model is a generalization of the Navier-Stokes model, which can be used to describe the behavior of non-Newtonian fluids. In this talk, we will first discuss the well-posedness of this problem. The main objective is to study data assimilation for the Ladyzhenskaya model, which aims to find an approximation of the reference solution when the initial data is unknown. Instead of having initial data, we possess measurements of the reference solution. We will demonstrate that the data assimilation algorithm constructs an approximation that converges to the reference solution over time. The critical aspect of this study involves analyzing the long-term behavior of the reference solution.
