Abstract: In this talk we focus on a second main result with Ataei and Nguyen concerning 2D magnetic stability, from two unifying perspectives. One from analysis: an interpolation inequality of Ladyzhenskaya-Gagliardo-Nirenberg type. And one from condensed matter physics: a Chern-Simons-Schrödinger-Ginzburg-Landau-Higgs density functional theory for anyons and the fractional quantum Hall effect. Their intersection and the core of our proof concerns a supersymmetric relation (Bogomolnyi's bound) saturated and solved by the explicit solutions to the generalized Liouville equation discussed in the previous talks by Alireza Ataei.
This is a seminar in the PDEs and Applications seminar series
