Abstract:We study a particular class of rational functions on the unit bidisk, called rational inner functions of bidegree (n,1), and the iteration theory on the 2-torus of skew-products of such maps.
In the simple case discussed in this talk each fiber map is trivial or an easily understood Möbius transformation, but the global dynamics on T^2 exhibits some complexity, encoded in the zeros of certain one-variable polynomials.
