PC Seminar: New results and problems in the ergodic theory of g-measures

Abstract: I present some new results and problems on g-measures with my collaborators Noam Berger (Munich) and Anders Johansson (Gävle). The g-mensurers can be viewed as stationary distributions on chains on fiinitely many symbols with a dependence on the infinite past. There is also the interpretation of a one-sided Ising model with long range interactions. Also, there is a close coonection to invariant measures for different dynamical systems, including iterated function systems.

I will in particular discuss uniqueness and mixing properties of g-measures, as well as their entropies.
