Abstract: By applying algebraic structures such as finite fields and vector spaces, algebraic coding theory permits reliable data transmission over noisy communication media. In this presentation, a brief introduction will be provided on how error-correcting codes identify corrupted data and reconstruct the original message without requiring retransmission.
