(Image removed) FIP digital health in pharmacy education
This was recently emphasized by the International Pharmaceutical Federation FIP in the report “FIP digital health in pharmacy education: Developing a digitally enabled pharmaceutical workforce”. A survey, which was completed by 1,060 pharmacy schools, faculty members, students and practitioner groups from 91 countries, investigated the readiness and responsiveness of pharmacy education with regard to digital health and identified knowledge and skills gaps in the pharmaceutical workforce. The report describes digital health education initiatives from pharmacy schools and faculties from around the world and outlines a number of “ways forward”.
At this seminar you will have the opportunity to discuss with the authors of two interesting reports:
- Katja Ulvstedt-Stadius is project leader at the department for Strategic digitalization, Region Stockholm and author of the report Verksamhetsutveckling och digitalisering about digitalization of healthcare, recently published as part of a regional commission outlining the future directions for the healthcare system in Stockholm until 2040
- Aukje Mantel-Teeuwisse is professor of Global Health and Pharmacy at the Utrecht University, the Netherlands. She is also the Managing Director of the Utrecht Centre for Pharmaceutical Policy and Regulation and one of the key authors behind the FIP-report.
Each presenter will give a 30 minutes presentation of their reports, followed by 15 min questions and discussion. We hope that this will contribute to the development of the courses at the Faculty of Pharmacy to meet future needs.
