Nominate your candidate for The Pedagogical Awards 2022

All employees and students can now submit nominations for the Uppsala University Pedagogical Awards 2022. The prize will be awarded to teachers who have made outstanding accomplishments in undergraduate education and are given in five categories: among them Medicine and Pharmacy and one in a prioritized field, the latter this year with focus on "Critical approach in a polarised world".

Describe how your candidate works in the different nomination categories to give the drafting committee a more comprehensive picture of how your nominee fulfills the requirements for the award.

Anne-Lie Svensson, Senior lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, received the Pedagogical Award in Medicine and Pharmacy in 2021. The motivation was “Anne-Lie Svensson is appreciated by the students for her dedicated and warm way of teaching. She focuses on the students and creating good conditions for learning. The desire to constantly develop teaching is noticeable, among other things, in her participation in pedagogical conferences, also at national level, and then sharing her experiences in her role as pedagogical leader. Among Anne-Lie Svensson's faculty-wide efforts is her central role in the work of strengthening the quality of the Science Programme in Pharmacy’s bachelor project."

FACTS

• The prizes of SEK 20,000 each will be conferred at Uppsala University's Professorial Inauguration Ceremony in November.
• The recipients are selected by the university's Vice-Chancellor.
