Fred Nyberg named Founder's Awardee at INRC 2022

Fred Nyberg, Professor em. and Senior Advisor in U-FOLD, was named Founder's Awardee at the 2022 International Narcotics Research Conference (INRC) Annual Meeting in Valencia. This recognition is presented to individuals who have a made a sustained and substantial contribution to the science upon which the conference is based.

The honorary title Founder's Awardee includes presenting a Founders' Lecture at the INRC annual meeting, and with title From CSF to reversal of opioid-induced damages to the brain, Fred Nyberg gave his lecture Wednesday 6 July at this year’s conference, highlighting New advances in opioid research: From bench to bed.

The International Narcotics Research Conference (INRC) is an international forum for pre-clinical and clinical researchers to strengthen the knowledge of opioid pharmacology and function. The INRC meetings are a platform for the design of evidence-based guidance for constructive use of opioids for pain management, and understanding of opioid misuse and abuse.
