The Faculty of Pharmacy presents Black Friday 2.0, giving away the new popular science bestsellers Sov dig till ett bättre liv: Vad andning, sex, melatonin, tyngdtäcke, fullmåne och kiwi kan göra för din sömn by sleep researcher Christian Benedict and Tryffelfeber : bland matnördar, maffia och miljardärer by our truffle expert Christina Wedén. Send an email to Magnus.Alsne@ilk.uu.se no later than Sunday 26 November to participate in the raffle for signed copies.
In Sov dig till ett bättreliv, Christian Benedict, sleep researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, tells in an engaging way about the most popular sleep fixes and how sleep affects your body and mind. He describes how sleep can make you and society richer, smarter, healthier – and more attractive. You will also learn about the biggest sleep thieves and what you can do to reduce the risk of them stealing your sleep.
In Tryffelfeber, Christina Wedén, teacher and researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, guides you through the world of truffles: from rigged truffle auctions and dirty money to lavish festivals, violent deals and – of course – great food experiences in a book filled with "unexpectedly exciting and fascinating reading".
