Moamin Alkakaei wins Poster Award at Nordic POP 2025

The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates Moamin Alkakaei, PhD student at the Department of Pharmacy on receiving the Poster Award at the Nordic POP Annual Meeting 2025 which was arranged in Copenhagen.

Moamin Alkakaei, PhD student in the Uppsala University Molecular Pharmaceutics research group, wins the Nordic POP Poster Award for his work Serum-free Caco-2 cell cultures for reliable drug permeability studies at the Nordic POP Annual Meeting 2025 which was arranged 20–22 August at the University of Copenhagen.
“I am both honored to receive this award and happy to see the scientific community support innovative methods that embrace the 3R principle,” states Moamin Alkakaei, who in his PhD project aims to develop in vitro models for the study of intestinal drug permeability, a work also expected to contribute to reduce the reliance on animal-derived products in research.
The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates Moamin Alkakaei on a job well done and Nordic POP on a ditto choice of award winner.
