Anja Sandström, Deputy Dean of first and second cycle education and researcher with a focus on peptides and peptidomimetics in drug discovery has been promoted to Professor of Medicinal chemistry.
Anja Sandström conducts research in the field of Drug Design and Discovery with a special focus on the design and synthesis of protease inhibitors for viral diseases, as well as making peptidomimetics of neuropeptides for treatment of neuropathic pain.
Monday 9 August 2021, Anja Sandström and colleagues published the article Antibacterial sulfonimidamide-based oligopeptides as type I signal peptidase inhibitors: Synthesis and biological evaluation in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
