Dr. Masullo Jimenez is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Milan, and (on leave) at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University. He co-edits Qualitative & Multi-Method Research and serves on the Editorial Board of International Studies Review. His research focuses on political and criminal violence, using diverse methods and fieldwork to explore how individuals and communities in violent settings make decisions and how their experiences shape political preferences, including attitudes toward policies on violence and crime. His work spans Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and Italy, and has widely published in journals such as Political Geography, Comparative Political Studies and Global Policy Journal.
