Speaker Bio

Andrea Ruggeri is Professor of Political Science at the University of Milan, and was previously Professor of Political Science and International Relations at University of Oxford (2014–2024). His research focuses on political violence, civil wars, and peace operations, with a broader interest in collective political violence and state development. He is the author of Composing Peace (Oxford University Press, 2020). His work has also appeared in leading journals such as International Organization, World Politics, Comparative Political Studies, International Security, British Journal of Political Science, and the Journal of Peace Research, among others.
