VIEWS research consortium awarded distinction for the Use of AI for Peace

The VIEWS consortium received a 'Special Distinction for the Use of AI for Peace' at the prestigious 2024 Kluz Prize for PeaceTech award ceremony in New York City on September 20th.

VIEWS stood out among over 90 nominees worldwide, impressing the selection committee with their “unparalleled dedication and groundbreaking contributions to advancing global peace by leveraging technology responsibly and effectively.”

Jointly led by Uppsala University and Peace Research Institute Oslo, the Violence & Impacts Early-Warning System (VIEWS) research consortium unites a suite of innovative research projects that study and predict armed conflict and its societal impact.
