Gudlaug Olafsdottir becomes Doctor in Peace Research
On 22 November Gudlaug Olafsdottir successfully defended her doctoral dissertation Precarious Paths to Democracy: Electoral Violence and the Struggle for Democratization. The thesis examines the relationship between electoral violence and democratization.
A special thanks to Prof. Susan Hyde from UC Berkeley, who served as faculty opponent and to the grading committee consisting of associate professors Michael Wahrman, Moa Mårtensson & Magnus Öberg.
Prof. Hanne Fjelde was the main supervisor of the thesis, while Prof. Kristine Höglund and Dr. Espen Geelmuyden Rød served as assistant supervisors.
