Emma Elfversson appointed Senior Lecturer
We are delighted to announce that, starting 1 January, our research community will be strengthened by the appointment of Emma Elfversson as Senior Lecturer.
Having previously worked at the department as both a PhD student and postdoctoral researcher, Emma is a highly respected scholar and teacher as well as a valued colleague.
Earlier this week, Emma, together with Kristine Höglund and Camille Pellerin, was awarded funding from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) for their project “Why Evictions Turn Violent: The Politics of Growing Cities.” Congratulations on this achievement!
Emma is currently based at the Department of Government and leads a major research project on The Continuation of Conflict-related Violence in Postwar Cities. Her other ongoing research explores community policing in urban and rural areas, land rights and climate resilience strategies, and the social networks of urban mediators.
