DPCR is Hiring a Professor
Uppsala University’s Department of Peace and Conflict Research (DPCR) is seeking an internationally recognised scholar to fill a permanent, full-time Professorship in Peace and Conflict Research at its campus in Uppsala, Sweden. The role forms part of one of the world’s leading environments in peace and conflict studies, with a dynamic and international academic community.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for research and doctoral education in the field, contribute to teaching and supervision across all levels, and play a leading role in shaping the department’s research agenda. A significant part of the position is dedicated to the appointee’s own research, along with opportunities to lead research projects, secure competitive funding, and engage with academic and non-academic partners.
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding research and teaching expertise, a strong international track record, experience in supervising doctoral students, and the ability to contribute to the department’s mission. Teaching is primarily in English.
