The NEPI foundation – Network for Pharmacoepidemiology is an independent foundation esablished by decision of the Swedish Parliament in 1993. The Foundation’s Board of Directors is appointed by the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society and the Swedish Society of Medicine. According to the statues, NEPI shall “promote research and development primarly in the fields of pharmacoinformation, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics”.
