She is awarded the prize for her way to consequently teach advanced material in a particularly educational way – a beacon for the programme’s teaching.

The nomination for the award was:

“Lisa has shown outstanding teaching ability and has been a driving force in raising the educational standard on the programme. The award winner is selected by a jury based on nominations from students on the Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics. The teacher’s award is awarded annually to a teacher, lecturer or lab supervisor on the Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics at Uppsala University who has excelled pedagogically and been outstanding in her teaching.

“It is great fun to receive the award, of course. We are many teachers who have worked to make the education on the Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics good in recent years and it is nice that the students appreciate what has been done. It is especially fun to receive the award because it comes from the students themselves,” says Lisa Freyhult.

The purpose of the award is to highlight skilled and dedicated teachers and in this way promote that the educational level of the programme is raised overall. The award was handed out during the Föreningen Uppsala Tekniska Fysiker’s big meeting, FSTORM, on April 13, 2023 at the Ångström laboratory.
