The University Management Visited CERN

The University administration visited CERN on February 26-27, 2025, to familiarise themselves with Uppsala University’s infrastructure there and see how they made available decommissioned infrastructure.
At CERN the defunct Synchrocyclotron which has been made available for visitors, the CLEAR accelerator where they, among other things, develop medical applications and the ATLAS experiment which is used for research on particle physics and CERN Science Gateway for scientific communication and exhibits were visited.
Margareta Uvhagen Antoni, Deputy Head of Division at the Financial Administration and Procurement Division, Per Abrahamsson, Chief Legal Officer at the Legal Affairs Division and Annamaria Hartvik, Project Director at the Buildings Division from the University Administration and Jenny Nordquist, Head of Division at the analysis division at the Swedish Higher Education Authority participated in the visit. From the ATLAS research group in Uppsala, Richard Brenner, Rebeca Gonzalez Suarez and Elin Bergeås Kuutmann also participated.
