14.5 Million SEK in Grants for sustainable energy systems from the Swedish Energy Agency

The Swedish Energy Agency has on January 19, 2021 reached a decision on project grants within the call “Curiosity-driven research for sustainable energy systems”, which is a joint investment between the Swedish Energy Agency and the Swedish Research Council. Three projects from the Department of Physics and Astronomy were granted funds.

The granted projects are:

Project title: Nya kalkogen-perovskiter för solceller
Main applicant: Håkan Rensmo, Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics
Grant amount: SEK 5 883 350

Project title: Optimering av vätetransporthastigheter i amorfa material: från ultra-snabba till ultra-tröga
Main applicant: Gunnar Pálsson, Division of Materials Physics
Grant amount: SEK 2 973 436

Project title: X-ray based methodology for next generation Na-ion battery cathodes
Main applicant: Laurent Duda, Division of Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics
Grant amount: SEK 5 662 471
