National workshop on the governance and organization of the Swedish healthcare system
The network for research and development of the governance and organization of Swedish health services organized a national workshop in Uppsala on 14-15 March 2024. About 60 researchers and doctoral students from various universities and organizations participated.
The question of how Swedish healthcare should be developed to meet future needs is always relevant, and to promote research into the governance and organization of healthcare, a national workshop was organized in Uppsala on 14-15 March 2024. About 60 researchers and PhD students from various universities and organizations participated in the workshop. Among other things, the pros and cons of a full or partial nationalization of healthcare, new forms of financing, priorities, freedom of choice and privatization were discussed.
The workshop is organized by the Network for research and development of the governance and organization of Swedish health services. The network started in 2022 and aims to provide a forum where researchers from different disciplines can jointly discuss the challenges of healthcare in order to develop new research ideas and problems. The network is financed by Forte and coordinated by Professor Ulrika Winblad at Uppsala University.
