In the couch with Karin Jansson

In Karin's thesis, it is studied how principals, deputies, social secretaries and supervisors experience assessments regarding decision-making capacity and legal capacity in connection with trusteeship and trusteeship. The focus is on how people with intellectual disabilities are given the opportunity to participate in decisions and exercise self-determination.

Here, the director of the Center for Disability Reasearch (CFF) Therése Fridström Montoya talks to Karin Jansson, doctoral student at the Department of Social Work at Uppsala University about her ongoing thesis "Balancing between the person's best interests and will - the role of good men and trustees in decision-making for people with intellectual disability".
