New guide on causal analysis

The Stratos initiative is a large collaboration of experts in many different areas of biostatistical research with the objective to provide accessible and accurate guidance in the design and analysis of observational studies.

The guidance is intended for applied statisticians and other data analysts with varying levels of statistical education, experience and interests. The Topic Groups are within nine key areas in observational studies: Missing data, selection of variables and functional forms in multivariable analysis, initial data analysis, measurement error and classification, study design, evaluating diagnostic tests and prediction models, causal inference, survival analysis and high-dimensional data.

The topic group on causal inference, which include Ingeborg Waernbaum, has now published a tutorial paper on performing causal analyses: Formulating causal questions and principled statistical answers, available on Wiley Online Library.

Ingeborg Waernbaum, professor at the Department of Statistics, Uppsala university.
