New docent in statistics: Hao Luo
The Docentship Committee at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Uppsala University decided on 20 September 2022 to grant PhD Hao Luo as docent (associate professor) of statistics.
Hao Luo’s research focuses on big data analytics in ageing and mental health. She is interested in investigating the nature, causes and consequences of critical health and mental health conditions, and in evaluating the effectiveness and risks of treatments and interventions for these conditions.
Hao Luo defended her PhD thesis 2011 at the Department of Statistics at Uppsala University on the topic Some Aspects on Confirmatory Factor Analysis of Ordinal Variables and Generating Non-normal Data.
