Samka

Samka is based on the report Patient and Family Involvement for Improved Research and Healthcare, which was published in 2022 and updated in 2023. The report highlights that Sweden—despite having one of the world’s most vibrant association cultures and a strong democracy—does not lead in including patient and family perspectives at the systemic level.

Samka therefore aims to support and stimulate the shift toward a more inclusive culture by providing a resource platform that can complement and connect other ongoing projects and initiatives in a sustainable way.
