From the Disciplinary Domain Board 4 February 2026

At the meeting of the Disciplinary Domain Board on 4 February 2026, decisions were taken on the allocation of infrastructure funds, the appointment of a new Infrastructure Committee (which also serves as the board of the CDHU), and the appointment of the board of the Anders Sandrew Foundation.

Allocation of infrastructure funds

The Disciplinary Domain Board of Humanities and Social Sciences set aside SEK 1.5 million in the 2026 Operational Plan to support and develop local research infrastructures. The Board decided, in accordance with the proposal of the Infrastructure Committee, to grant funds for one year to eleven infrastructure ventures.

Infrastructure Committee and board of CDHU

At the meeting, the Disciplinary Domain Board decided to appoint the following people to the Infrastructure Committee, also serving as the board of the Centre for Digital Humanities, for a term of office of three years:

  • Per Johansson, Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Erik Lindberg, Faculty of Arts
  • Maria Rasmusson, Faculty of Educational Sciences
  • Anders Sjöborg, Faculty of Theology
  • Magnus Strand, Faculty of Law
  • Sara Stymne, Faculty of Languages

The members represent the six faculties of the disciplinary domain, with one member from each faculty. The chair of the Infrastructure Committee is appointed by the Vice-Rector.

New board of the Anders Sandrew Institute for Culture and Creativity

The Anders Sandrew Institute for Culture and Creativity was established on 1 January 2026 and aims to promote innovative research and knowledge exchange in the fields of culture, creativity and artistic development. The Institute is placed organisationally in the Disciplinary Domain, with the Department of Art History as its host institution.

At the meeting of the Disciplinary Domain Board, the following members were appointed to the board of the Anders Sandrew Institute for the next three-year period (until 31 December 2028):

  • Erik Lindberg, Chair (Dean of the Faculty of Arts)
  • Anna Nordlund (Department of Education)
  • Hanna Sofia Rehnberg (Department of Scandinavian Languages)
  • Mattias Martinson (Department of Theology)

The Disciplinary Domain Board also decided to delegate to the Vice-Rector the task of appointing the external members of the Anders Sandrew Institute board.

Facilities matters

The Disciplinary Domain Board also discussed facilities matters in the disciplinary domain from a three-year perspective ahead of the planned move decision which will be taken at the next meeting (16 March 2026).
