Is it a good idea that the bank knows how much alcohol you order at the pub? Or that it is not possible to buy a bus ticket anonymously? Or that cameras with face recognition monitors public places? Or that safe encryption is banned within the EU, as the EU-commission has suggested? Welcome to a different type of seminar about AI with Svante Linusson, professor in discreet mathematics at KTH. Rather than focusing on the technology, Svante will speak about the interaction between AI, society and political decision making.
The seminar is aimed at a broad audience who wants to learn more about this interplay, and in particular the role of EU.
• What is the new EU AI act?
• Does EU have aplan for not being left behind when China and the US are investing heavily in AI-development?
• What will happen with your personal integrity if EU gives its member states the right to read encrypted communication on the web?
• Do politicians know enough about AI to make wise decisions on investments and legislation?
These are some of the questions that Svante will address during the seminar.
