Uppsala University will welcome its new international students in our beautiful Main Building with a ceremony in the Grand Auditorium and a fair in the area around the staircase.
Ceremony in the Grand Auditorium, 14:00–15:00
Welcome by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Coco Norén This will be followed by light-hearted entertainment and useful information. The ceremony will be held in English.
The doors to the Grand Auditorium will open at 13:30.
Mini fair around the staircase, 15:00–16:30
Nations and students’ unions, the University’s student support services and associations linked to the University will all be present.
Ban on bags at large gatherings
Remember that there is a general ban on bags at large gatherings in Sweden. This means you are not allowed to take bags or backpacks into the University Main Building. There is a bag storage service outside the building, but do take anything you need with you in a pocket or a small waistpack or similar. Small handbags and waistpacks may be checked on entry.
