Welcome to the opening of the amphitheatre – a new meeting place in the heart of Ekonomikumparken.
This year, Ekonomikum celebrates its 50th anniversary and the amphitheatre on the slope leading down to Ekonomikumparken is being completed.
What makes this site particularly special is that, during the construction process, it was discovered that the architect behind Ekonomikum, Peter Celsing, had originally designed an amphitheatre for this very spot. Now, half a century later, that vision has become a reality.
The inauguration will take place on the Last Day of April and will be an atmospheric way to kick off the Walpurgis celebrations.
The event will be held in Swedish.

Uppsala Akademiska Kammarkör will welcome the spring with singing, accompanied by wind players from Uppsala University Jazz Orchestra.
