How do mathematical ideas emerge, and how are they connected? And what is needed to make complex mathematical concepts understandable? Mathematician Seidon Alsaody uses analogies and intuition to make the abstract meaningful and relatable. Meet the recipient of pedagogical awards in a conversation about research and teaching, and about the importance of examples and shifting perspectives to enhance students’ understanding of mathematics.
