E-resource of the Month: Kanopy
Kanopy is a streaming film service with a wide range of documentary, feature and instructional films from thousands of producers.
The platform contains around 20,000 films on subjects as diverse as cultural anthropology, political science, pedagogy and modern history - to name but a few.
To see what Uppsala University has access to, search for any keyword in Search. The search result under the tab In collection shows what the Library has purchased and it is possible to suggest new films for purchase. You can do this by clicking on the Request Access tab, finding a film and filling in an order form. You will then be notified whether the Library is purchasing the film.
The film service is useful for teachers who want to show films in educational contexts. Kanopy is also of interest to students of political science or humanities, for example.
