ArkivDigital – digitised historical source material
The database contains approximately 100 million digitised color photographs of historical source material, such as Swedish church records, census data, population registers, court and estate records, maps and property registers as far back as the 17th century. Approximately 600,000 new images are added each month.
ArkivDigital also contains many photographs of people, including prisoner portraits and school photos.
The database is useful for those who study economic history, history and other humanities subjects. It is also a treasure for those generally interested in history or for those who do genealogy research.
