Borrowing and returning books
Borrow and return
Use the self-service machine to borrow or return books. The machine is located to the left when you have entered the library. After returning material in the machine, please place it in the return box. You can also return books borrowed at our other libraries.
Your loans are renewed automatically where possible.
Books for pickup
Books that you have requested or queued for are located on the shelf to the left in the library.
Interlibrary loans and articles
Interlibrary loans and articles are also available on the shelf by the computers. Interlibrary loans do not need to be registered in the self-service machine. If you are an employeee at Uppsala University or Region Uppsala, interlibrary loans can either be picked up at the library or delivered to you with internal mail by agreement with the Library.

- Total number of seats: 38
- Seats in the ALC room: 20
- Seats with computers: 12
The ALC room can be freely used except when it is booked for classes.There are 8 bookable group rooms close by. During library opening hours you have access to group rooms, study spaces and computers.

Technical equipment
Public computers
As a student, researcher or employee at Uppsala University, you use your university account and password A to access the computers. Other visitors can get a temporary account at one of our information desks. You can see which of our libraries have information desks and when they are open on the page Opening hours and contact.
Copy, scan and print
Everyone is welcome to use the University's printing system eduPrint.
Wireless Network
Students and researchers use the Eduroam network. Other visitors can use the Hospital's guest network.
