The Museum of Evolution, Gustavianum and the Botanical Garden invite you to unique tours of rooms you usually never get to see. Discover storage rooms, greenhouses and treasure vaults!

All tours must be booked in advance at info@em.uu.se. Places are limited. Tours are approx 60 minutes long. We meet at the Museum of Evolution Zoology, Villavägen 9, before each tour. Free admission to the Museum of Evolution and the Tropical Greenhouse all day

12.30 Gustavianum’s historical collections

Archaeological treasures between swords and mummies. Gustavianum’s collections tell the story of Sweden’s and the world’s cultural history through objects from near and far.

13.00 The Museum of Evolution - Zoology

The museum’s exhibitions feature countless animals, but the storage rooms contain the real treasures: thousands of beetles, unique Linnaeus animals and more or less well-taxidermied objects.

13.30 The Museum of Evolution - Palaeontology

Ever wondered why the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the Nordics is in Uppsala? And what other extinct animals do we have in storage? You’ll get the answers during our fossil tour.

14.00 The Botanical Garden’s cultivation greenhouses

During the spring, the gardeners work on raising vegetables, flowers and other plants that are then planted out in the gardens. Come and visit our cultivation greenhouses.

14.30 The Museum of Evolution - Botany

In a building that is usually never open to the public is our herbarium. See our collection rooms, Joachim Burser’s Hortus siccus and Queen Lovisa Ulrika’s botanical volumes.
