Alumni event in Beijing

With great help from the Uppsala University Alumni Chapter in China,
an alumni dinner was organized in the Ritan Park, Beijing on February 17.

The dinner coincided with the last day of the Chinese New Year, a day for family reunion, a perfect day to hold this Alumni event in China.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Anders Hallberg gave an overview about the latest development at Uppsala University both in research and education and he stated "I am very proud to be here tonight with our Chinese Alumni in Beijing as you are an important part of our UU family".

Eric Liu, representing the Chinese Alumni Chapter reported about the activities organized during the last year. The alumni chapter in China was set up during the World Expo in 2010 and for this year they are planning more interesting activities for UU Alumni in China.

When the dinner ended all invited guests went out in the Ritan park to watch the fantastic fireworks concluding the Chinese New Year holiday.
