Donations contributes to a good study environment

On April 20 Vice-President Professor Margaretha Fahlgren inaugurated two newly refurbished lecture halls at the Department of Business Studies. The lecture halls could be refurbished thanks to a legacy gift from USA.
In 2009 Uppsala University received a donation from Dorothy Johnson in Michigan, USA, she donated in memory of her father, Bertil B. Nordling. This money has now been used to refurbished two lecture halls at the Department of Business Studies, based on the needs of the department.
- As we receive more and more students we are in need of functionable lecture halls. Thanks to the new design with curved stands in the lecture hall we can offer a high class study environment, says Dr. Leena Avotie, head of the Department.
Through the independent organisation American Friends of Uppsala University, www.afuu.org, there is now the possibility to donate in a very easy way from USA.
