Welcoming reception for international students

Vice-Chancellor Eva Åkesson invites all exchange students and international master students to a Welcoming reception on Wednesday 29 August.
The reception is held in the University Main Building (map) and starts at noon with information sessions and a student fair.
Various different organisations will be represented at the student fair, including the student unions and nations, the Swedish Tax Agency, Destination Uppsala (Uppsala's tourist information office), SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), Nordea, and the local council.
There will also be information about the various guided tours that are available to international students.
At 3 pm Vice-Chancellor Eva Åkesson will give her welcoming speech, followed by Fredrik Ahlstedt, Mayor of Uppsala, and Klara Ellström, President of Uppsala Student Union.
At 4.15 pm light refreshments are served in the entrance hall.
The Royal Academic Orchestra and Svenska Showorkestern Phontrattarne will perform during the reception.
