Anders Wall lecture inspiring students and entrepreneurs

Every year the Anders Wall lecture gathers around 2,000 students and guests. The event has become Sweden’s largest meeting between students and industry and features well-known and successful speakers.


Students, entrepreneurs and others interested are invited to take part in an afternoon with inspiring lectures, panel discussions, music, and prize ceremony.

The purpose of the yearly lecture is to inspire entrepreneurship among students, scientists and teachers at Uppsala University’s different faculties.

This years speakers are:

  • Bjørn Kjos, CEO of low-cost airline Norwegian
  • Hans Rosling, professor of international health at Karolinska Institutet
  • Monica Lindstedt, co-founder of Metro and founder of home service company Hemfrid
  • Jacob de Geer, founder and CEO of iZettle, a payment service that enables card transactions using a smartphone

H.R.H. Prince Carl Philip will be attending the lecture and awarding this year’s Uppsala Student of the Year. The award consists of a grant of SEK 100,000.

The lecture (which is held in Swedish) starts at 13.00 hrs on 7 November, in the Grand Auditorium of the University Main Building. Guests are asked to be seated no later than 12.45 hrs.
