Nils Mårtensson receives ERC Advanced Grant

The European Research Council, ERC, has presented the 302 researchers in Europe that have been awarded the prestigious “Advanced Grants”. Nils Mårtensson at the Department of Physics and Astronomy is one of them.
A so-called Advanced Grant is a sum of up to €3.5 million over a period of up to five years.
Nils Mårtensson, Professor of Physics at Uppsala University, has been granted funding for the project “Ultra Brilliant X-rays – a program for the advancement of state-of-the-art instrumentation and science”.
Thirteen per cent of the 2,304 applications have been granted by the ERC, totalling €680 million. Nils Mårtensson at Uppsala University is one of six Swedish researchers that have been granted funding.
