Sweden plays Great Britain in first student game of American football

Uppsala University has 100 tickets to give away to the world’s first competitive international student game of American football. The game will be played between Sweden and Great Britain on the 6 April.


On the 6 April, Sweden and Great Britain compete in a competitive international student game of American football. It is a historic event for several reasons. It is the sport’s first official international student game ever and it is also a run-up to the first student world championship in American football which will be hosted in Uppsala in one year’s time.

The game will take place at Lötens IP, starting at 14.00 (6 April). Before the main game there will be a warm-up game starting at 12.00 between Uppsala University team Snake Heads and Carlberg Cavaliers of the new indoor series Touchdown Sweden.

Uppsala University has 100 tickets to the game to give away.

Update: All tickets have now been spoken for.

The game is organised by Uppsla 86:ers.
