Uppsala University U.S. Alumni Chapter invites you to the Fall Speaker Event 21 October featuring Nobel Prize Winner, Professor Martin Lee Chalfie.
The Uppsala University Alumni Network and American Friends of Uppsala University are delighted to invite you to a speaker event with the U.S. Alumni Chapter. Join fellow alumni and other friends of the University on October 21st for a cocktail reception at the Harvard Club of New York featuring 2008 Nobel Prize Winner, Professor Martin Lee Chalfie.
Professor Martin Lee Chalfie is a University Professor at Columbia University, where he is also Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences. He shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry along with Osamu Shimomura and Roger Y. Tsien for “the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein, GFP”. Professor Chalfie holds a PhD in neurobiology from Harvard University, and has been a guest lecturer at Uppsala University.
