2013 Garrod medal awarded to Otto Cars

Otto Cars, director of ReAct – Action on Antibiotic Resistance has been awarded The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) 2013 Garrod medal for his “significant contribution to the field of antimicrobial chemotherapy”.
The medal will be received in connection with his Garrod lecture “Global Access to Effective Antibiotics – bridging the gap between science and policy” at the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) conference “Action on Infection” held in Birmingham on November 11.
