Skarhed has been a judge in a general court of law, including the position of Justice of the Supreme Court. She has also worked in three Swedish review boards for insurance claims (Patientskadenämnden, for patients’ injuries; Läkemedelsskadenämnden, for injuries caused by pharmaceutical drugs; and Miljöskadenämnden, for environmental damage).
