You are invited to listen to the Nobel lectures in Uppsala on 13 December.

Four of this year’s Nobel Prize winners will visit Uppsala on 13 December. Public lectures, a panel discussion and the inauguration of a new exhibition are planned as part of the visit. The programme in the University Main Building will also be streamed live on the web.

It is a long-standing tradition for the Nobel Laureates to be invited to Uppsala University in connection with the annual Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm. As part of the Nobel laureate visit to Uppsala on 13 December, there will be a reception held by the Vice-Chancellor followed by a lunch in Uppsala Castle, in addition to very popular public lectures by the visiting laureates. This year, there will also be a panel discussion in the Grand Auditorium featuring representatives of the Nobel Peace Prize-awarded organisations and the inauguration of an exhibition at the Carolina Rediviva attended by the winner of the Nobel Prize in literature, Svetlana Aleksijevitj.

Since the lectures are very popular it is important to arrive in good time. Seats must be taken no later than 15 minutes before the lecture starts.
